Well m8, i know how cold it gets in Wagga in winter, a lot of these sh i t stirers are up in QLD don't know what cold is.

anyway the good thing is you can run your new motor in without it getting too hot, winter is best time to run in a new motor.

i been riding my super glide to work this week leaving at 6am so sort of cool here in Sydney.

i'm an old bugger but still don't have a windscreen

    cheers

If you're going to buy thermals, don't buy polypropylene ... they're made of plastic and after sweating in them, you won't be able to wash the smell out. Spend a few extra dollars and buy yourself some merino wool ones, they'll be a much better investment in the long run. They aren't cheap but they're really warm, keep their shape after many years of use and most importantly, they don't smell. Icebreaker is a good brand. I've also got a heated vest ... it's awesome ... like wearing an electric blanket while you're riding. Heated grips are great too.

You want to know what heaven on earth is.? Come home after a long ride in the cold and wet have a hot shower then a bourbon and watch the MotoGP while the misses goes to town on your knob. Fucking brilliant makes any cold ride worth it.

Do what i did when i was young and new to road bikes. I rode down to Newcastle via the New England Highway with a mate (he had to go to court) in the middle of winter wearing jeans, boots, T-shirt and a Marlin Brando leather jacket "Nothing Else". Then, when you think you are going to die from the cold because everything has turned blue and has no feeling and your snot has turned into ice and you can't put your foot down when you stop for fuel but, you manage to survive against all the odds anyway. You can then look back and reflect on it at other times when you think are cold and just enjoy the ride. Works for me anyway. I still remember the hot shower.
