I like the flat look but I dont like the rsd logo ,I was at PS in ringwood looking at some in their catalog ,they are 500 bux or something

they also quoted me 580 bux on V&H staggered short shots in black ,no baffles and 700 bux for the super tuner

definately gonna make sure I look around at what else is available befor unloading that kind of cash

Personally I don't like the look of the Heavy Breather as it looks like a big Lampshade.

My partner has a RSD Speed 5 Air Cleaner which I fitted on her Sportster which looks great.

Sportster does leak a bit of oil sometimes, we previously contacted RSD about this problem they had explained that they hadn't had any problems with the Sporsters which had the RSD Air Cleaner fitted which is Bullshit. But this bike does leak a minor amount of oil which is noticeable on the rear exhaust and not really a big problem, but it would be nice to have no oil leaking. The oil level is correct but it still leaks oil, but it only leaks every now and then, which is probably when under heavy acceleration. Early this year we did a trip to Tasmania and back and it only leaked a couple of times.

I have also installed a RSD Speed 7 Air Cleaner on my Fatboy Lo but it doesn't leak any oil, but there were earlier problems with this Air Cleaner dripping oil on the Big Twins, but they have a retro kit to fix this problem. All the new RSD Aircleaner kits come supplied with the updated Retro Kits but this is only on the Big Twins and not supplied for Sportsters.

We did get RSD to send a couple of these Retro Kits to us, they sent them to us at no charge also with free shipping from RSD, but they don't fit the Sportster as they stated, I did say that I wanted the Retro Kit sent as I was going to modify the kit to fit the Sportster.

Note: Make sure you put the supplied Silicone on the plate after the backing plate has been bolted onto the Throttle Body as this does reduce the oil leaking from the Air Cleaner. Also you may have to clean the Air Filter Element more frequently, making sure you put the K&N oil on the Filter element after cleaning as it helps trap the dust and grit from entering the engine.

Its going to be a problem with nearly any air cleaner that vents the heads back into the intake, ie joker machine.

Even the stock setup will do it a bit, you just don't tend to see it.. You can run a breather kit into a hose that runs it under the bike or into a little catch filter.

My RSD is leak free too

You might want to check the crank case breather tubes that are not blocked

Check out these ones that Iv'e have made.

We do them in Chrome or Black, They use the same mounting Braket as the SE Heavy Breather so you will not have problems with Oil Leaking all over your Bike and they are the only Velocity Stack on the Market that has a true Air Cleaner .

The Normal Price is $399.00. If you call me or send me a PM, I will give you a killer Deal on one

Cant wait to take it for a ride this weekend. Might even give it a birthday and wash it! Suits the bike much better than the heavy breather.

     Hey 45wl

fitting was pretty straight forward took about 10 minutes , just make sure you get key channels the right way round , flat piece towards you , channel towards engine , you will know what I mean when you see them . I fitted the Xieds with it as well .

Was thinking getting the 4 inch round but agree to small for my liking. The 5 inch round fits nicely and you can still appreciate the look of the motor , removing the ham can does free it up abit

Went for a ride yesterday and am very happy with both parts , huge difference to stock,

    Cheers
