I really want to completely black out my forks and will be sending the lower half in for powder coating soon but also want to do the top tubes aswell. Im just worried that the thickness of the powder coat wont allow me to get the tube back up through the triple trees. Any one done this before?

Im sure I have seen black covers for upper forks for sale..... 

Heard of others using adhesive gloss vinyls.
