I checked mine and they where loose. Good idea to keep an eye on em.

Haynes service and repair manual reckons:

    Front motor mount bolt

    2010 and later......95 to 105 ft-lbs (129 to 142Nm)

It might be an idea to state how many k's are on your bike guys, it might give us all an idea of a minimum to start checking these bolts.

I've done about 3500Km's on ours' and because it only takes a couple of minutes to do I'll be checking every 500Km's for awhile to work out if there is a problem with the engine mounting.

hold out a little longer cordie, im hoping that we can have a few others put up their findings and at how many k's, that way it will be a bit more than just "a few minor cases", so we might end up seeing a recall notice on this...

Just checked mine. They were fine, tight as anything. Bike is a 2010 Iron, 4,500 km.

Just check mine, 600km's one bolt took a little more the other was definitely loose as i could stick a .50mm feeler gauge between the bolt head and frame.

Ive drank a lot of snot this winter and so far no loose bolts .Although Im pretty sure the guy on the bike has a few loose screws ....

main thing Ive noticed on the 48 is how important tire pressure is

For info Infidel, I do ride my bike EVERY day. This post was just started to tell other riders that may not have the experience some of us have,  that I found a problem  and after talking to Scouser, he also had the same problem. That's what the idea of the forum is.

Not  just to get a comment out there or dribble shit so as to become a legend !

i believe Infidel was having a crack at me, had my bike for 3 weeks mate, i work 2.5k's from home and have alot of commitments so yeah 600k's and i have an engine mount bolt loose! If you read the thread again, you will see that cordie was going to send an email to HD, i suggested that he hold off and wait for some more people to post their findings before emailing a very small amount of peoples opinions which they wouldnt take any real notice of, at least we should gather some more facts and details before doing so was what i was trying to get accross. Some of the things you say do add to the thread but the rest is just childish crap and not needed. You have to agree that almost everybody has this loose engine mount bolt on their bikes, spanned over all different k's, but FFS@ 600k's and we have loose engine bolts, maybe we do need to check every fucking bolt on these bikes...one poster found his loose a few days after a service...really makes you have confidence in HD and their service techs. Lets try and keep this thread on topic, any issue's take to PMs.

Is this what you guys are talking about?

Was just havin a look over my 2010 Iron & found one of the tie-link bracket bolts missing (front LHS). Goin through some photos of my bike it was there only recently, so fell out around 3300-3600kms? Have already called the dealer & they are lookin at it tomorrow. The guy seemed aware of the problem.

That posted link for the exploded views & parts etc just came in very handy.
