Have you read this excellent book by Jack Bowers. It's the story about two blokes who travel around this country of ours in a Harley and Sidecar, without any support vehicles or roads in many places for that matter. Took them 7 weeks and 15000km. I'm reading it for the second time, and it's a fascinating read.
