I've decided to shut down the HD Forums Australia Facebook group.  After a short experiment with it, I realised pretty quickly it could get out of control and I don't need the hassles.  Apologies for the dramas.  I've also removed myself from Facebook.

Apologies again, and nothing personal towards any of the members.

I was goi9ng to join facebook until someone showed me how to rip people's locations out of iphone pictures - I hate being ignorant of this shit so I backed off until I learned more - and all I learned is not to like it.

I'm a Facebook fan and I thought the Idea was sound KC. However I guess the main objection woudl be the loss of anonymity we now enjoy on the Forum. Imagine if people knew I hang around with a bunch of HD riders? :)

Good try anyway KC. Keep up the good work on the Forum.

I think Facebook is more trouble than it's worth....

They can shove it where the sun doesn't shine.

I saw a news article the other day about Facebook. "They" are introducing face recognition technology - there is no "opt out". What it boils down to is the computer can recognise your face within the database - if you have a photo on face book any random off the street can take your photo and use the technology to source other photos and information about you on the net. No prob's I thought - I am not and will not be  a member of facebook - until my 10 yo daughter pointed out that anyone can post your photo and information on facebook. Fuck that shit.
