On close inspection I wouldn't be surprised if they were made from pig leather

 I got a couple of jackets from davids jacket. Smilar to dh, el camino2, Im pretty sure it was a fake. Ddnt sit too well, and didnt feel right. Great detail etc, look ok, sizing was great. I palmed it off to a mate, the other one was a half miler, it was great, kept it. For the price, it doesnt worry me to be homest? Its a 2 for 1 deal.

Thought i'd put my 2 cents in on this thread.
I only have one thing to say .... FUCK DH GATE... ordered a vest a few months back ... all looked good - I pressed the seller for tracking info for a week or 2 and after he strung me along a bit saying its on its way. After numerous emails back & forth I finally decided to log a dispute and what do you know... I've missed my window as disputes can only be logged within a certain period... after smashing there resolution centre with email after email I have not to this day received a reply. My advise is do not purchase from these pricks.

If you link is for gear from Guangzhou TongHai Apparel Co., Ltd then yes, a lot and never an issue. A number of these sites are for the same shop just by different names/ sites. 5 jackets, gloves, wallets etc in the last 6 months. May not be the cheapest as she does WU for the payments and their exchange rate and charges are not the best. I do it on line which is a bit better rate than in store.

My wife is Chinese and actually went to the shop and meet the girl I deal with to check the quality and try on a jacket for size. (still managed to get it wrong)
There is still debate if this stuff is copy or original but I don't care as the jackets we have are for me, wife and daughter and not reselling.
They have a few contacts but I deal with Vicky pop.vicky@hotmail.com. depending on the time of day she posts I usually get it in 5-7 days delivered to the door with tracking info for EMS.

the sizeing is USA sizes, so large is large I normally fit a 43 shirt aust size and the jackets I got are M and have heaps of room around the middle

Tried the site for a vest, after 6 days I received a great looking vest with harley davidson design on the back of it, so happy. Will try for a jacket for the wife next.

Baloffski....the same thing happened to a jacket I tried on in the dealers so maybe they are coming out of the same factory. It was one of the ones with the hoodie inside.

And I think the heavy duty YKK is probably the answer. Theres one thing about stuff nowadays and thats that the quality just doesnt seem to be as good as yback in the days  but at the same time I aint paying double or triple from the dealers for  the same product .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Yes, I didn't like the "left handed" zip operation so had a local leather work guy put a YKK zip in, best $50 I have spent in recent years.....

They always seem to shrink as we get older...it can't be us getting bigger ....surely

Well, its been 18 months since i started this post and the jacket has had a lot of use. Apart fom me breaking the zip puller ( an easy diy fix) the acket has held up well. All the stitching is fine and it has softened up in all the areas.
The colour HAS faded particularly on the arms. Its isnt a problem to me, but it has taken on a sort of silvery brown hue to the leather.
I quite like it as it looks older and it could probably be returned to black with some leather dye.
The hoodie hasnt been used much as i ride pretty much daily. I changed it for a genunie Harley hoodie as it has long sleeves and was better during the winter. (Another bargain from barnettbikergear on ebay)
Still very happy with my purchace. Ineresting to see the varied experiences here.
It just shows that there are bargains and pitfalls out there. Do your homework first.
When the time comes, Ill buy from this seller again.

 carefully prise the cover off the zipper with a small screwdriver. Have a close look and youll see whati mean. you can either put apuller from another zip or a small keyring through it. Press the bit that you pried off back onand your done. Be gentle it will come off and go back on.

 Yep, bought mine from them, great looking, comfortable jacket at less than half the rrp here in Oz. I had the left handed zip replaced as I didn't like it, cost me $50 to have a heavy duty YKK zip fitted. Absolutely love it!!!

Ended up buying from a user named 'sunrise'. They had a higher number of transactions against their name and plenty of good reviews. From order placement to arrival on my doorstep was ten days and i have to say im impressed with the quality of the jacket. Good thickness, soft leather and everything looks just as good as the ones in the dealers, only 1/3rd the price (delivered). Even the zips seem to be made for the job. Time will tell how it wears, but im absolutely made up with the quality and fit.
