i was considering buying an earlier model tourer (as there around 2K-3K cheaper than a softail) and then taking the engine out and fitting it into a new frame from ultima cycles who offer a 250 or 280 tyre softail frame along with a rsd  gear box for around 3k,

can a tourer engine fit into a softail frame?
