10" with mid controls is going to be interesting with cornering! My 48 grounds out pretty much everywhere if I'm not careful and from factory I think the aus bikes run 11" shocks.
Its kindof cute dragging the pegs.. Until the first time you manage to lever ther rear wheel up.

i have 11" ikon rear shocks and v&h shot shots, i currently drag both pegs and the exhaust....and to be honest i dont think i ride that hard at all.

Do you guys still have the peg scrapers on?

Thinking of ditching mine.... digs in worse than a peg would... and a couple inches sooner than a peg would!

yeah mine are still one, i dont see any point in taking mine off as they let me know i'm very close to the exhaust, i tend to let them scrape and fold up a little, i really should back off a little when they do that, might save my exhaust.

I have the 11 inch rear shocks off a sportster low on mine. It scrapes the exhaust and the side stand on the other side. Still have the pegs feelers, but the other parts of the bike ground before they do. I extended the feeler on the exhaust side with some extra tubing to give and earlier warning. I know I don't ride that hard either. Certainly not as fast as I used to on my ducati. TC

I changed my whole cornering style coming from dirt and sports bikes..... barely lean these days. Have scraped only one time ever.

Cheers for the heads up though. I will hang onto the old shocks when I get the burly's.

Hey Gians, Welcome, you properly should have made your first post in "Introductions" and then started your own thread. I have V&H's on my bike (8000ks) so far an not epa's "Yet" with they way things are going in melbourne it wont be far away, but in saying that it also comes down to what times and locations you are riding. I dont believe mine are super loud but others would say different, personal choice. I have been stopped twice once for licence check the other for my side mount number plate, but no mention of noise. I'm prepared to get a few EPA's, i know the drill i've had a few on cars over they years and had to clear many for customers. But make sure you keep your stock pipes (and other bits) so it will be a matter of just swapping them back on if you do get done.

    Regards T1

MIne are quieter (SE's) but you are dead right there mate. I have never had a close call coz I mainly ride daily to work in heavy traffic and home in the middle of the night.
