Hi All

I need help, riding home today I lost my speedo, tacho, brake lights blinkers & horn. I have checked the fuses I will be reading the book but any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Without looking at a wiring diagram, it sounds first up that a wire from the ignition switch/on terminal  that supplies Instruments , horn, blinkers and brake light has come loose or come off.

Maybe a quick check at the back of the ign switch terminals.

My guess is that seeing as the donk still ran, there is still power at the Ign/on terminal and the ign switch itself is OK.

To get to the switch I will have to lewave until the weekend not enough hours after work to do this sort of job. Will just have to take the wifes car until I fix or get it fixed.

nearly sounds just like a main instrument harness plug has come apart? make sure the acc wire as mentioned earlier has not come off or blown the acc fuse? did you still have head light? i always get told to look at the last thing that you touched or put on the bike. hope you find it easy.

Well the problem has been solved the harness that goes to the rear lights had come away from the guard & rubbed against the tyre witch broke some of the wires. Of course they is not one in Australia order now & wait until the 1/7/11 for it to arrive a cost of $36 or you can just go down to Jay Car brought a few bits & piece patched up the wires re ran harnes & not a chances of it rubbing against the tyre again.
