Just got back from visiting a mate in hospital, dropped his bike on tuesday - approx 50kmh, 9 broken ribs, broken clavicle, burst lung, fucked spleen, bleeding on the brain, Roadking smashed up.

All this from the council putting a piece of curb out into the road to "slow down traffic" - slowed him down alright, nearly bloody killed him!

No warning signs, curb in shadow from a tree apparently (I haven't been out there yet) local residents witnessed the spill told old mate they thought it would only be a matter of time before someone went ass up over it. Be sort of ok in a car - just be front end damage - on a bike, and this was a slow speed spill, near on stuffed him for good.

Might go and get some pics tomorrow and ask the council if they intend to remove it or at least highlight it before it does kill some one on a bike.

Heard and listening with interest Stumly, sounds like there might be cause to extend the "bitch" to the relevant Council.

not what I'd call minor injuries either, Hope rider mends soon and recovers completely.

Definitely  sounds like a good basis for a lawsuit to me!!!
