I'm thinking of putting risers on my fatboy.
What is the maximum height risers should I get so I can keep my original cables and handlebars?
I want to sit up a liitle taller and with the handlbars closer to me, so what type of risers are recommended, keeping in mind I don't want to have to change my cables yet.
Cheers
These are perfect for lifting your bars and yet keep your original bars and tacho ... also I have a 3" tank lift so it brings the tank closer to the bars than if you dont have the tank lift.
Looks great. I owe you. Thanks a heap. How tall are you?
I'm guessing you got the bolts locally. They have some sort of safety rating don't they, like Grade Eight or something?
Also what height is the screen?
Love the slim line bags too but I have the original SE2 pipes which sit too high for them. What are the bags?
And is that enough questions for the moment ?- you can guess that I'm pretty impressed wth what you've done too that baby
G'day mate,
Thanks mate,
They look good. In fact, your ride looks fantastic, bloody beautiful.
Do you find it alters your riding position at all?
Are they a Harley part? If so, do you have a part No.? What sort of $ ???
And you say you have kept all your stock cables, brake lines and stock handlebars??
Evilsim - I have the risers. Thanksa million, they are just what I wanted. 1.5 was the maximum height you can get. What did you do about sourcing the bolts please? Noting they are of some high safety standard was that a problem. Do you know what length they were?
Sorry for all the questions but super grateful for the info. I owe you!
Mate I put a set of the deluxe risers on my fatty, they are about 4" pullbacks, if your using the original seat, I will be surprised if you will need 6" and I would say you might have to change your wiring. If you can get sit on a bike with a similar seat to yours with the risers your looking at, with the same front wheel, you can get the feel of what you like. I got a pain between my shoulders and neck from the pullbacks, so I took them off and now am putting a new set of handlebars on as well. So I will feel the difference. I have had friends try several sets of bars and risers to get what suits them, and sometimes what looks good isn't so great after a few days of long riding. I like the short spacers in the first pic, I might even have a crack at them now I have seen them.
