I just wanna know if it serves any purpose other than holding the coil in place?

I want to move the coil and cant see any reason fpr keeping it. Would look a lot less cluttered too around the oil tank and rear pot?

 

any one taken it of?

My Rocker doesnt have one, but it is a different frame...
Just thoought it would clean up the look a bit.

Yeah, looks good, but not keen on spending any coin, I'm hoping just to make a simple bracket and use the standard coil
