As I'll be in the market for a RK/SG in the next few months, I had a qick squiz at some bikes whilst picking up some parts from a dealer on Monday.

The salesman came out and I quizzed him briefly about the best time to get into a run out 2011 model etc etc and he made mention that the RKC will soon become a thing of the past. Don't know how true it is and he wouldn't give a time frame or whether it was Oz only, maybe he was just trying to get me to buy one but thought it an interesting enough comment to post here seeing as it came from a rep's mouth.

    Anyone heard anything similar??

yep, heard the same from Perth HD this arvo.
Was going to buy the classic last year but got the standard instead, went down to check out a change over price and was told he only has the 2 left and he's keeping one of them.
Very tempted, just trying justify the $$$$. Any one interested in a low km RK standard?

Good riddance I say. Road kings have fibreglass bags, if you want leather bags ride a fuggin heritage or something. The name "classic" was a total misnomer, there was nothing classic about those bags.

Oh well next best thing for me is the RK standard

If you like those ugly, boxy, no style, painted bags then just get the RK standard .... I don't

Have had an Electraglide, still have a Dyna, RKC 2011 easily best bike have ever owned. Also like the look of the bags. Electraglide are bigger but still like the leather look.
