Interested in how often (in time or KM's) you guys take your bike in for a service or do you do a DIY service?,

 do you do your own oil change in between services?

any ideas on an avg price for a service, i realise it would change from bike to bike & mechanic etc, is it roughly the same as a car?, average car service usually sets me back between $100 - $200

Do my own, but I hear it is around the $300 mark, which to me is expensive. And at least I know what I am putting in my bike when I do my own servicing

Not even for tyres..........I take the wheels in.

 

 

 

Every 4K to get the oil/s changed.

 

 

 

I have done all the servicing on my bike since day 1 not worried about the warranty.

When I'm ready

Every 8000 as the book says,

 Engine every 4K (for dino).........now on Full synthetic, probably go 8K between changes.

Gearbox...........don't understand why people change every 4K...........manual states 32K.............mines done 22K on oil from 1600 service. Gear oil doesn't get the contaminants that engine oil does. I will probably change mine to synthetic at 30K when next engine oil change is due and then probably change every 4th engine change (32K)........unless I can be convinced otherwise!

Primary...........probably every 2nd engine oil change (16K)
