i have a 240v 200amp AC/DC HF tig, #7 and #9 welding tickets and CAA welding certs for CrMo, Al, Ti, Mg.

my normal rate is $40cash, $55+gst with ABN, away from home......
depends on the job, under 70amps and it uses about the same as a 2000w heater, if I'm welding Aluminium @ 150amps my electricity meter is on REDLINE........
Gas is the killer, about $150 for an E size Argon refill, + $150 pa bottle rent......my welder is only 23kg+ leads+bottle, so it's not hard to move....
But......I'm leaving for Jindabyne in a day or two, working the winter in housekeeping at The Station.......so no welding for 4 months.......
the offer still stands when I return to sydney......should give everyone plenty off time to get thier welding jobs ready for me in October.....
