Does this sound right ?

    Hey guys.

    I have a XL1200C sportster less than 500kms. Noticed it feels like the engine misses at low RPM. Went into the service centre at local HD (canberra) and explained the prob.  They said that because of the way bikes have to be set up in OZ due to emissions etc they can't be tuned correctly and I will need to buy a Module? and fit a different Air Cleaner , over $1300 to fix the prob.

    Am I being told the truth here or what. I should be able to expect the bike to run properly, correct without having to spend another $1300++.

    I have already fitted V&H pipes.

    The pipes are V&H slip ons.

    What do recommend as a course of action.

    I don't think you need to do anything with just slip ons but if you add an air cleaner with it, you will need to have it tuned. If it is missing right now, there must be something else wrong with it!!!!

    Add slip ons and an air breather you need a tuner to regulate it......

    Thanks guys.

    Only slipons (medium baffle) have been added. stock air cleaner etc.
