Soooo!!! No wonder that our southern brothers didn't turn up...they know full well that the service and quality is shit....
The day started real frosty, it didn't take long to get that numb feeling in the fingers, but like the tough ausies we are, we pressed on...
Got to Darkan to be greeted with great indiference at the servo, I had to wait for 5 minutes for the bowser to be turned on and Stix was left with half the order forgotten and getting an angry serve...But the best was yet to come...After defrosting for a while and taking in a bit of sunshine we decided to depart...Dodgy turns on ignition and off goes his alarm, must be the fob!!! stuffs around with it, in the mean time Moffs bike wont start, and stixes as well, I move away from the servo a bit and bugger me dead my bike wont start either, after a lot of stuffing around we managed to get things going and buggered of out of there real quick. It appears that there is a great big Black farking hole in Darkan, that coupled with crabby sevice will make that a place to avoid in the future...
Now for Kattaning and the famous award winning steak sandwich....We got the menu and were gently advised to possibly look beyond the award winning steak sanga, the barmaid was a little concerned that we travelled all that way just to taste this cullinary delight...At $20 it had to be bloody good...Unfortunately the steak was 10mm thick, and a bit tough, with 6 chips and a few onion rings on the side...The judges must have been bribed with a years free grog FFS...
The ride was cool and great non the less...
Good to meet up with Moffs, and Rose doing it cold riding pillion with Stix..
