    hey guys,

havent been on this forum much, but i cant get a straight answer on the US forums, anyone know for sure one way or the other what handlebars are legal?

Im not talking about massive apes, more along the lines of zbars and if they are legal if they are welded or not? i heard that welded bars aren't legal in Aus.

    Anyone know the answer?

    c) The highest point on the handle bar must not be more than 380mm above the top of steering yoke.

    d) Where the highest point of the handle bar is more than 205mm vertically above the top of steering yoke, the distance between the extreme ends of the handle bar must not be less than 660mm.

On motorcycles manufactured after 30 June 1988

    a) The handlebar must have the same shape and be of same length on either side of the front wheel and steering head assembly.

Can't remember where I read it, but I think the rule over here in regards to being welded, was no more than 2 weld joints per sde.

    exactly..
nsw says 380mm above seat height.
vic says 380mm above attachment point on bike..

    so 2 completely different positions.

Looks like the screwed up the wording on the NSW one...poor buggers! Only midgets can ride bikes in that state.
