I have been using the HD forum from the states for a while now and figured i would start to use this one now to make some new friends closer to home ( the us site is very good for parts info )
well guess il tell you about my bike since that the reason for this site. Its a 2011 dyna wide glide ( black ) i have changed quite a few things on it since new. everything so far has been genuine harley davidson. i wanted to go with a billet on black look so i started by fitting a vance and hines big radius in black along with the screaming eagle heavy breather with the billet edge cut cover, behind the scenes a super tuner to support these two additions. since i was going black and not turning back the horn and the rocker covers got changed also to wrinkle black, black fin bridges were added along with the finned derby cover, Edge cut billet series seemed to be the best looking for the bike at this stage so all the stock parts were removed and changed, the grips, hand levers, foot levers, mirrors, pegs and shift linkage. in the lighting department i kept the chrome indicators to match the aluminum but added the eyelids, the front head lamp was changed to the bullet style 4.1/2 inch. some other cosmetics were the black axel nut caps front and rear, the flush mounted fuel cap and fuel gauge, and the latest addition to the bike i removed the front fork sliders, triple trees and the belt guard and got them powder coated black.
im looking at some saddle bags that are quick detach currently, im heading to alice spings in august on the black dog ride so i will need some storage space. i have been looking at the boss bags and the genuine harley ones. they will only be on when required so looking for something with out ugly docking hardware
A bit about me, i work in mining construction as a rigging supervisor, just following the work around this awesome country. i like working on my bike myself, getting someone to do it for you takes the fun out of doing it yourself, love the afl and the west coast eagles and formula 1
