    Hi All,

I am re-installing rear wheel on 08 Street Bob. I've noticed that the rear wheel spacers (on both sides) have two groves machined on the end. Now, when I took the wheel off, I did not notice whether the grooves were facing away from the wheel or inwards.

Could anyone (who is more attentive to detail than I am) please tell me which way should the spacers be facing on both sides of the wheel? I still haven't figured out what purpose do the groves serve?

    Any help would be appreciated.

     Cheers

    Vlad

    Thanks guys.
So according to the manual, Uncle Ho, the chamfered section (grooves) need to be oriented outwards (away from the wheel).
This is how I had it setup. However Red just pointed out that the "groves go inside"
    So which one is it?
    See some pics below:

Thanks heaps Scotty and all other guys that tried to help. Much appreciated.

Now on to the next task of belt tensioning and setting up wheel adjusters to match each side.
Does anyone have any tricks or advice on adjusting the wheel or belt tensioning?

    Cheers
