Anyone out there fitted the HD  pt no 49080-06  forward controls, if so does it come with a chrome cap for the gearshift shaft?  Other thoughts on the product too?

not 100% on the pt #, but I had HD forwards fitted pre delivery and am sure the cap was part of the kit... the forwards are great... I was going to fit longer ones but I like to hang my feet over the front when I'm on long stretches, I can slide my ass forward, lay back a little and ride longer than mates with mids...

Yes it does indeed. I just wish it was a black plug to match the rest of my primary cover.
I've recently fitted the genuine HD forward control kit to my Street Bob and can certainly attest to their quality and fit/finish.
I've heard people having issues with Kury stuff but not with genuine HD accessories.

got mine from the US so the price was good the feel and fit is great but the chrome work is a bit dodgey, might get them redone some time.....

    Zanotti all the way.
Good communication and email replies. Found Chicago HD to be slow in replying to emails.

Saw the Harley gloss black forwards at their site the other day, I think they look good and might give em a try. Part number 49021-09.  What brand are the black ones you have shown Uncle Ho??  Black Harly ones from Chicago Harley are $263.

Search this number on ebay...    110253297722

I am still waiting an email re an extended version... otherwise I may have to go the new HD black look for an extention kit. More expensive but patience is running out.

These forwards are exactly what I need as I want to put 'crack pipes' on at some stage and need to reposition the rear master cylinder and this set of forwards has it's own. I suppose a longer brake line would be required with these forwards?
