Brake lever

    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows of or if they make a different angled brake lever??

I am short ass at 5foot tall and have little hands and am finding the reach on my brake lever a mighty stretch.

If the angle of the lever was straighter it would make my life alot easier!!

Does anyone else have this problem?

    Any advise is appreciated!

    Thanks, Caz

Thanks for the tip, i was thinking of bending it but worried it might break.....

Will do a bit more research first before i attempt the bend!!    But if all else fails.... that will be the go!!

     Hey Angel,

I will let you know for sure, i have emailed ASV inventions - they do a clutch and brake lever that seems to be exactly what im after, but im not sure if they fit Harleys.  The website says they are universal, but they dont state Harleys as an option.

As soon as i find out, i will let you know.

Here is the link, if you want to have a look -    http://asvinventions.com/Unbreakable-Levers/

    Hi Angel,

Thought i would give you an update on my search for adjustable brake and clutch levers -

These levers below sound really good, but they are out of stock for the next couple of months - Les has put me on a waiting list for when they are available -  www.metalartsinc.com

These ones below look good to, BUT they dont make them for Harley's. She did say though, they are in the process of making them, but that could take months.

A couple of people have suggested just bending the lever, heating it up and gently bending it to the angel required. Im not too keen on that as it might make the metal brittle and therefore opening it up to the chance of snapping??!!!!

My search is still on, if you hear of anything, let me know.

    Caz.

    Angel,  Im in Melbourne.

I have only had my bike for a couple of weeks. I have just upgraded from a Virago 250.

Having lots of fun, modifying and making the bike 'mine" A few more bits of cosmetic things to do yet, but am loving it.

Thats not cool having to take your bike back so often, i would have been pretty p****ed off.  At least you have it now though, just need the weather to stay nice!!!!  It is typical isnt it that during the week its great weather then as soon as the weekend hits......... shit weather!!!!   A couple of months ago, i actually took a sickie and went riding with my husband as the weather was so nice and the forecast for the weekend was going to be awful! We had a great day!

WOW only 12 girls on here! Thats surprising.  It certainly is very male dominated, thats for sure! Hopefull this weekend will be nice and you can get out for a ride.
