     Hi there

Admins. can move this if it's in the wrong forum but because it's aimed specifically at WA I thought it might be a question I could ask here.

Has anyone had any experience with Frasers in Dianella? Good? Bad? Reliable? Need to get opinions from "locals" which I reckon would have their finger on the pulse.

And secondly, does anyone know of an unbiased Harley pre-inspection service? I guess I will contact them depnding on the first answer :)

    Cheers

When I was buying a new bike off them, and I told them what SWHD and great southern HD had quoted they couldn't get me in there fast enough and sign papers, gave me a good deal.
I found them very helpful - while I was spending money. If your not flashing some coin at them they don't seem too interested in general inquiries, take ages to get back with quotes etc. Prices are a bit over the top aswell regarding parts / servicing.

Thats my opinion of them, hope it helps.

Are you looking at buying a bike/parts here or just soliciting info??

There used to be a gripe section in gen bike related but it caused a fair bit of shit sponsor wise, opinions vary greatly...

    Hi there

Yes,there's a bike at their dealership I'm very interested in which is the reason for
the post. The other reason is I'm on the other side of the country so I thought I'd field some response here.

    Cheers

As others have said, if buying from them they will treat you fine.

But I strongly recommend you get it serviced else where.

I have had issues with their service department , only small things eg after booking in my bike for for new pipes and air cleaner upgrade 6 weeks in advance i arrive on the day and i find they didnt have the pipes yet and when i return to pick up my bike they had fitted the wrong air cleaner.

One would think that after having spent 30,000 k on a bike from them 18mths ago that there would be a little more attention to detail'.

I dont expect them to kiss my arse but a bit of old fashioned service would refreshing. (service  dept)

When i eventaully upgrade my bike i will be heading to Bunbury or Cannington.

I do a fly in fly out job and dont have time fuck around with these sorts of issues when i get home , i would rather be out on my bike.

I was told by one member of this forum that they left  the front wheel axle clamp of his bike after a tyre change and he didnt notice untill after a ride in the hills (bloody dangerous).

     Hi there

Well, I've got a fair idea from replies here that their service department is seriously lacking, but fortunately for me that's not an issue. It's their new/secondhand bike sales department that I'm fielding a response for.

That being said, does anyone know of someone independant  who knows what their doing and not associated with Frasers in any way, who could do a pre-inspection on a Harley? Forum user maybe and charging me a fee which I'm happy to pay to go and do an initial inspection on the bike and report back.

It's pis**ng me off that any bike I'm seriously interested in is either in WA, QLD or NT and I'm  Victoria.

    Cheers :)

There's a couple of independent shops around more in the line of servicing / repair that might help. I don't know them so can't talk for them, but a few blokes I know use them. One mob is in mundijong - can't remember their name - seems to have a pretty good rep....maybe some one on here knows them.

@ Bobtail Go to Richardsons Tasmania mate, they are by far the best dealer I have come accross....

    Hi Bt

Yeah, I've heard that from a few blokes I've ridden with but they don't have what I'm looking for at the moment and the Glide I want is not that common in Red Hot Sunglo hence Frasers....

    Cheers :)

Couple mates got their rides from Dianella Frasers where the sale side of things was great with good service (well the feedback I got from them)

But............ every time I have gone in there for parts they have not been much help plus they dont stock much for older Harley's.

American Motorcycle parts in VIc Park is great. Got me softail from there and keep going back every week for bits and pieces.... never ends.

     Hi there

Just thought I would give Frasers in Dianella a huge thumbs up, especially to Chris Flamini who looked after me very well. I bought an 09 Electra Glide Ultra Classic from them but the big point is that I live in Geelong, Victoria!

I had the bike inspected by another forum member (grahamjb) who helped me out with his evaluation of the bike so I flew to Perth for a couple of days to finally check it out myself. After a short ride to Bindoon and then on to Tooyay it was a done deal!

Finally my thanks go to Autotrans (TOLL) who transported the bike from WA to VIC with not even a scuff mark. Bike arrived today 8th and I've just ridden it home about 60k's and put it away in the shed. :)

    Cheers

Good to see your bike arrived safe and sound - it was great to meet you and show you some real WA winter weather (26 degrees on the Monday Bindoon/Toodyay ride).

Bet you will sell your fatty now that you are a Bagger convert
