    JD,

Tell you can get it done elsewhere cheaper, I'm sure they will drop the price,

    JD,

Talk to the salesman who sold you the bike and have a good wine to him...he wil stick it up the service manager and you will get a better price

My first service was free from the dealer, only had to pay for oil and filter.  All they do on a first service anyway is change the oils and filter which shouldn't cost more than an hours labour plus plus parts so anything over $180- $200 (maybe a bit more for synthetic oil) and your being ripped off. The mechanic I took my bike to for its 16,000km service charged me $240 with synthetic oil and spent a couple of hours going over the bike, but now the warranty is up I'll do it myself.
