Hi all,
I would like to install a new cam not sure which way to lean TW26 or TW37 any suggestions?
Its going into a stg1 2009 FXDF with SE Heavy Breather,Rush slip ons,TTS Mastertune.
I dont plan on doing any more work to it for quite a while after this.
My riding style is i like to cruise around mostly and gun it from time to time when i can get away with it.
Thanks in advance.
the 37's are good but they need more compression than stock to work. if your motor is stock & stock compression i would not use the 37's .
Contacted Andrews tech support they said for a dyna go with the 37 so thats what im doing plus some ezy install pushrods.
About $380 for both to my door from powersport superstore.
G/Day
Finally got the old girl going yesterday had a major set back with the cam bearing tools THEY TOOK 4WKS 3DAYS TO ARRIVE!!!!!!!!USA.
The job itself only takes a weekend and is pretty easy even for a first timer like me just a couple tricks to look out for that can make life easy.
The Andrews TW37 sound pretty lumpy, i've only done 50ks so far and feels like im missing a bee's dick in low end,mid range and top end feel
strong.Bike sounds quite a bit louder with the cams all and all very happy cost less than half what the dealer quoted.Funny thing i double checked
everything 10 times went to start it dead nothing just the oil light, thought get f#$ked no oil pressure walked around the garage a couple of times
then remembered its still in gear after doing the push rods put it in N fired straight up.
These cams can be purchased from powersportsuperstore $238 and $120 for adjustable push rods BARGAIN
Cheers
Sounds good Glaz, let us know what you think when you have done a few k's as i am thinking of a cam upgrade as well
Cheers Scamp
