Yeah 103 ... not sure how long they've been around.. but, I'm checking out some of the options.. but still keep coming back to the Progressive 970 ... there's a few good video links on them.. anyway, I have a contact, on the other side of the Pacific .. who I've purchased through before.. and was great with at least getting it here, cheaper (shipping costs)..... or I know he tries hard to do so.

Maybe when you've made your choice (me too) can combine a purchase... ordering a couple of sets through him, may be more cost effective ??? Even if shipped to different places in Aus ?? Mick at Too Badd Custom. Might see if I can invite him to this discussion, I see he does distribute them.

    G'day,

I have just ordered a Street Bob, and am in the same boat looking around to swap out the rear suspension.

From what I have read, the Progressives look like they would be a good performing unit. I'd be keen for a group buy.

    Cheers.

I've emailed Mick at Too Badd and let him know there could be at least a couple of us checking them out.. and invited him to appraise 'our' needs, see what he can do for us.. I've spent most of the day checking these out.. on all links I can find..

... let's see what we shall see.. and go from there ..

    Cheers Noodle

Just been to the progressive website and the 970 series are over  $900  plus shipping.

At that price they should be gold plated.

Yeah... there are choices in life... good, better best. Hopefully that is what you get, when you put your 'hard earned' on the sales counter.

I've heard back from Mick .. in reference to the 970's .. He's very open to discussion.. and I am sure, he can do something for us... even if we have to 'Twist his Agates' a bit..

.If at all you want to PM me, on any of the correspondance we have on this.. I'm more then happy to share.. or contact him yourself.. for individual needs.. but I am sure, if he knows there is a possible 'group' of 2 or more.. lol .. then, we may get a bit more 'bang' for our buck.. ???

As I've delt with the dude before.. on smaller purchase .. being the reuseable oil filters.. and he's saved me a few bucks on shipping.. and kept me well informed.. I have not problem with requesting further needs.. and to me trust means a lot.

Hopefully we might get addressed here on the Forum .. on this..

    Cheers

Yep no prob.. they indeed sound good too.. and you've had some feedback on them.. which is what the forums are all about .. sharing info. What size were you after.. what is the standard size for your ride.. I got the standard size for mine.. 12.5 in.. all for under 800 delivered to my door..

1 ofThe reason i ended up goin for the 430's was i spoke to a sales rep and they said for the type of ridin i do the 430's will be perfect and ill end up saving $400. but the main reason was because the 970 didnt come in my standard height which is 12. they only came in 12.5 i didnt wanna really raise my bike. im tryin 2 find the fine line in between looks and performance.
