Well it had to happen I suppose, the mobile and FOB don't like each other. I tried to start the bike after I rung home to tell the good lady I was running late, as soon as I moved the bike the alarm went off, as it should, tried a few more times and started to get pissed off and concerned. I always carry the FOB and key in my zipped up jacket pocket. What happened next I won't mention suffice to say I have a crook back now. After a short time I realised that the only thing I did was use my phone, pulled it out and sure enough it was still on, turned it off, ignition on and hit the start button, the bike roared into life.
It would appear that the mobile transmit signal has an effect on the FOB and the alarm system of the bike when it's close to the bike and FOB.
I wonder if anyone else has heard of or experienced the same thing?
Bt
Have to remeber that, if the bike won't start
the manual states not to place phones next to FOB.... by the way any RF device will could affect the FOB, including Wifi. Don't think Bluetooth is a problem though
