gday went to the local hd dealer this morn n ordered myself a 2008 883 custom. it should be here late november/early december hasnt been made yet. now i have to hang out till then cant wait ive had asmile from ear to ear all day. been looking thourgth the accesseries book 2day if only i owend a mint (i probulary couldnt print enougth)

thanks. i think we will call it the BIG book of dreams it ways a ton. i sat on a 883 low while i was there n noticed how heavy it was didnt notice that last time i sat on it

Once it starts moving forward and your feet are up you don't notice the weight at all. 

im use to riding dirt bikes,have never riden a bigger bike then that. got any pics of your bike?

Congrats Jim, I was the same waiting for mine to turn up. It is the best feeling riding it away from the dealer after waiting soooo long.

Well done jim, yes now you're in that zone where time goes much slower than it used to, ah the pain!

I was a bit freaked by the weight of the sporty after coming from a 155kg Hyosung 250, it's about 100kg heavier than that.  It will be even more compared to a dirt bike.

You only really notice the weight when you are parking or pushing the bike around with your feet, it's a good thing you got the C because you get forward controls which make the job of moving the bike manually much easier as you don't bang your shins all the time, which is what I found with the mid controls.

yeah tell me about it its only been 2 days since i orderd it n it all ready feels like a life time(well all most). i just hope it gos all well n theres not much of ahassle fingers n toes crossed

Yes well done i will never forget it this is the period of the process when time stands still and the pain ,have fun but its worth it.
