Yeah, Its not the best idea to shut down a city like that, but it was our "leaders" who planned our city, and just goes to show how vulnerable our city is. We're just lucky this guy was somewhat thoughtful about. As far as I know he was down, and the bridge was open before true peak hour hit (8-8.30). In fact I somehow had my best run in weeks on the M7 and M2 today. Didn't have to cross the bridge though

we all have our issues but tend not to say anything blaming anything we can think of at the time, [me included] so i take my hat off to him to have the balls to speak out knowing he would bring the powers to be down on him . as they say the sqeeky wheel gets the oil first ,hopefully this will start something that will improve things for others in the future .

Truely who gives a fuck about all the chaos it caused, no different to all the greeny tree huggin fuckwits that stop traffic regularly and cause dramas for peoples every day life to protest about a leaf that fell of a dying tree and got stood on. This happens all the time in any city around the country.

Good on him for having the balls to do something and get his point acoross/get noticed. Pitty it came to him having to do this in the first place.

    +1 Bano

This bloke has fought for our country and our gumbiment has doing him over.

    And the result so far.....

    - The court has said he can't see his kids.
    - The Gumbiment is crying about the lost revenue.
    - There will be a revue on bridge security ( I bet the security companies will love this one )

WHAT ABOUT HIS ISSUE FOR FUCKS SAKE.....!!!!!!

This guy was ex SAS. Not someone to be messed with, but no doubt a clear thinking, level headed bloke...who has served this country and risked his life for it. The fucking arse wipes who ran the state govt in NSW for 16 years have bankrupted every aspect of life here. NSW is a fucking basket case. DOCS is so short on resources they cant even do their job properly and disadvatnaged familes and kids get the short end of the stick. Couple that with divocrce courts that heavily favour women and its a recipe for exactly what happened today.

Most comments have been in support of him. It's an important issue, and he made his point very well. I admit I was disappointed to hear him say he meant to stop the traffic because up until then I had supported him by  sayin he made his point but it was the authorities who shut down the bridge. Kind of stuffed it up when he said he meant to do that. Anyway it is an important and tragic issue that needs attending to. Message to everyone - for Christ's sake, if there is anyway to hold it together for the sake of the kids, please do it. If not, the kids need a break,

And all the new Premier was concerned about was security on the bridge....they couldnt give a flying fuck about the guys problems or any of ours either....just keeping their asses in a seat till they can get their lifetime pension.

and yet this strong willed honest speaking ozzie will be subject to penaltys and general law enforcement inconvenience for this matter.
perhaps catch a bote , sit on a roof , burn some buildings then spit on ozzie soil before you speak out next time brother.

Having been in his position for many years (not anymore thankfully my kid turned 18 and found me we are now good mates) my heart goes out for him. One radio station yesterday suggested he had bike links, if he is on this site he has my support I did not mind the interuption to my day!
