removing softail deluxe front hub cover???

    hey all,

    ive got a softail deluxe and im looking at removing the front wheel chrome hub cover thing,

    is there much involved? also does anybody have any pic's of someone thats done this before?

    It will be easy to do and it will look as good without the hubcap as my bike will look good with the hubcap...... when you send it to me.......thanks.

    lol, what do you use as a stand to get the front wheel off the ground? im guessing you need to pull the front axle out to remove the hub cover?

    there is a circlip that holds it onto the spacer...  remove the clip & you can take the hubcover off the spacer... 

    YES you got to lift it to get the axle out.. & dont forget to put the spacer back on...

    cool thanks WozzA , whats the best way to lift the bike? do you need a bike lift? or a couple of mates and like a milk crate? lol

     I normaly lay under the bike & crack a erection... & up she goes..  FFS  get a bike lift...

    Block of wood, push bike onto side stand and push wood under, easier with 2 people

     get a bike lift makes it easy
