Seems every second HD I see these days is matte black, black, black and black with skulls 'n flames..

No no no! I'm going bright, shiney and sparkley! FINALLY found a US dealer who can source me a 48 tank in metal flake ($740 delivered), HD Aus wanted $1300, local painters wanted (average) $800 and would see me without my bike for anywhere from 3 weeks to 2 months.. crazy.

This is what I'm getting, I know there will be haters (Ive already copped 'dude, thats fckn uber gay.. you REALLY going to ride that?!'), Guess it comes from being a 70's kid, metal flake makes me think of all the flaked fibreglass that was big back then.. takes me back to happy kid times!

Just need to decide on which badges to go for.. then, you guys won't miss me out on the road!!

So, anyone going to be looking for a mint sedona orange 48 tank?!

    Just walked in the door..

Its good.. very thick paint.. but.. small hair just near the filler cap.. gonna drive me nuts, guessing a good paint guy should be able to buff that tiny bit out.. dunno?

Hmm.. I've asked them for a return.. A hair in the clear is not really acceptable for what it costs, I mean, it's no bloody backyard sprayjob, it should be perfect.
