Hey Guys,

Looking at purchasing my frist Harley in November this year. I have been around them most of my life as my Dad rides and has a couple.

I have pretty much narrowed my choice down to Softail standard/Custom or Fatbob (two very different models) . Im 25 and the bike will mainly be used on weekends and general comuting riding to work sometimes ect ect.

Im leaning towards the Fatbob but friends of mine keep saying they are more of an "older" persons bike?? I dont agree with this as they look agressive and from what i have been told are one of the better handeling harleys. What the genneral opinion of the fatbob on here?

I will be customizing the bike also, does that mean I should be more looking at the softail?

How do you guys think they compare; Preformance? looks?

Any help would be great cheers!

mate i was in the same situation as you and in the end i went the standard i just like the look and stance the best out of all that o looked at and rode, hopefully riding it home from qld to the coffs coast on saturday, good times ahead!!!!!!!!11

I have wanted a Harley since I was about 6 years old.

I have ridden softails but never a Fatbob. I loved the softails but have herd the bob's ride/handeling is much better.
Test ride is defenitly on the cards

Get a Night Rod Special if you wana look mean and go fast ...very fast

with you hilly ,test rides are easy to organise then the choice is yours .

Every one has a softail, black. get a Dyna
