hey all,

im new to harleys and have a 2005 fuel injected 1450 softail deluxe,

im looking at a set of Vance and hines Short shot pipes on ebay, and they have in the description fit from 1986-2006 softail, fatboy and heritage evolution engines, with no oxy hole sensors and also says it wont fit fuel injected bikes.

so my question is will they fit my efi deluxe, cause they dont run oxy sensors???

i also dont know what an evolution motor is?

any help would be great, just dont want to bid for them if they dont fit!

The fact that the ad says they won't fit efi would probably indicate that they won't fit straight up on an efi engine, I'm no expert on late model Harleys so I can't say if the manifolds are the same on later models as they are on earlier ones. The reason it says they won't fit could be the o2 sensors which could probably be fitted after purchase by drilling out and tapping into the new pipes but at the end of the day it could turn into a bigger job than it is worth and you may damage the pipes at the same time.

I would probably wait for a set of pipes that are described as actually fitting your bike.

I wouldn't bid on them if I were you...

yeah i spoke to a mate and he said no go! so wont be bidding will wait for something new to pop up!
