As posted a few weeks ago, could not get tha SEPST to install on my softail convertible CVO 2011.

Guys, i really need help with this, dealer in the USA now saying its operator error or the tuner has been fried after going thru tha customs scanner, WTF?

They are refusing to replace tuner or refund my cash. Anyone heard of tuners from the USA being damaged/fried/inoperable after being scanned by customs at tha airport?

Is there any way i can get the tuner tested to see if its been damaged by customs scanners? Btw, just about had a gutfull about this.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Scozzy.

Hilly m8, thanks for your input, my mechanic has spent hours tryin to get it to work, he has installed dozens of tuners without a problem. When he spoke to tha stealer in tha states, they just state well, youve fucked it by installing it wrong, or its been fried by the airport scanners.

Funny thing is, going by tha plug condition, my bike seems to be running ok, its not running lean.Bike came with big air kit fitted standard, all ive added are V&H sideshots.

As for members on here knowing whats wrong and not saying, well, if its a secret warped society fukkn thing for some obscure reason, they are probably tha kind of individual i want fukk all to do with anyway. People on here who know me personally would im pretty sure, rate me as tha kind of bloke willing to help out anyone, no matter what it is, and without looking for sumthin in return. Maybe tha HD brotherhood has went down tha drain, or im just naive!

    Hi Scozzy
Got my CVO Softy fitted with V&H Big Shots and used the SE Super tuner Pro P/n 32109-08b.
This was installed before delivery and tweaked after pipes were fitted during first service by Frasers in Perth.
They didn't indicate that there were any install problems and have had no issues since now done 5200kms.
Their service dept mentioned something about problems with the SE Street tuner not suiting 2011 models.
Hope this helps but as I didnt fit it that about all i can add.
Happy with bike so far what a ride

Scozzy, did they send you the latest software for the 2011 models? # 32111-11

    Quote"

SCREAMIN ’ EAGLE PRO SUPER TUNER SOFTWARE with “Smart-Tune”

This updated software is required for all new 2011 model yearupdates for the Super T uner EFI tuning capabilities.
Softwareincludes new 2011 race-use only calibrations along with allprevious race-use calibration software from ’02-’10.
The newsoftware also includes a new time-saving self-tuning featurecalled “Smart-Tune”. Now, you can choose a base
calibration, run the bike and record the data to the VCI box, downloadthe data, and the software will automatically make
recommendationsand adjust the settings for optimum performance. Smart Tune works on models with
factory-installed O2 sensors only.    For race application only.

    #32111-11 Software CD.

Good luck Scozzy, from what I can figure, the 2011 Softail not only requires the different patch lead, but also the updated version of the software.

There was some mention in the States about The CVO's coming out with a "Smart Tune" ECM at the time,,, but rumors were about that they fiddled with the machines built for Australian export cause the Aussie authorities (or who ever) didn't like the ECM set up to Yankee specs.

I don't know if the ECM's were physically changed out, or, it's more likely that HD updated the firmware in them to comply.

I suspect the later cause I've seen indications that the ECM's can be prone to remembering USA properties and settings without warning, and for no apparent reason.

Anyways, I hope all your problems just turn out to be related to an early software version and an update fixes things.

Chromer, lol, yeah a wee bit mate, can see tha light at tha end of tha tunnel i hope, but im not countin ma chickens etc yet.

With 110 cubes, big air an V&H pipes on it, ma bike goes furkkn pretty hard as it is, but, i want more lol, power crazy a suppose. Thing that shits me is why didnt tha dealer over in tha usa not tell us we needed tha latest update cd to make it work?

My mechanic, who is also my mate, spent fukkn hours tryin to get it to install and didnt charge me for his time, so i shouted him a litre bottle of vodka. He is a certified Harley mechanic, worked over in Milwaukee for 15 years, nuthin usually stumps him, but, had him fukked with this!

Well, its took a shit load of time, but we only got tha cd software last friday. Chicago Harley took ages to get here.

Hooked it up, wouldnt work, then searched tha file, vin recognised, but wouldnt allow download.

Had to search file for bike model, year,CVO , Softail convertible 1803.

Highlighted download link, woohoo!! 20 seconds later, installed.

Thanks to all you mates for your info and help.
