So ive had my forty eight for a couple months now and i have to say, iam so happy i got one. I dont even mind about the size of the tank and having to refuel all the time (when filling up, I make sure I really fill it up to the top and I get about 105km, before the fuel light comes on). The 48 handles increadible well. Its a hot looking harley and iam so glad i went with the 1200 forty eight, as apposed to the iron, which I had my eyes on for a while... Thanks Harley for a stunning modern take on vintage bike, this is one satified customer.

+1.. A great bike to have fun on. Done the suspension upgrade, Dyna 39mm forks up front  and Progressive 440 shocks down the back best ride you could have.

Hehe... Yep I've experienced bump/holes and yes it's quite a garing feeling. I don't mind so much as cause my ute has been lowered and so Iam rather used to no suspension :)

The other week we went for a ride over a rebuilt intersection and they left a huge dip just after the light, anyway both my mate and I end up do a the biggest superman over this dip. Certainly got the adrenalin pumping, as we both laughed and grind at each other. Iam glad my hands held on but Iam sure my but came about 10cm off the seat :)

yeah I hit some bumps today on a bend and the peg savers dug in pretty hard ,gave me a good jolt, wouldnt want it to happen to often ,Im thinking of cutting them down or removing them ?

    I'm pretty thrilled with mine.
Handling has been a learning experience, it's forced me to back off in corners, there just isn't the ground clearance, dragging the bloody pegs everywhere.. Note to self.. It's NOT a sports bike!

Note to everyone else.. Check your tyre pressures regularly, that big balloon at the front means the handling is very sensitive to tyre pressures, mine was tram tracking really badly, checked the pressure.. 4-5psi down at the front, that's not a lot for most bikes but made a world of difference to the handling.

Had to do an emergency stop this morning, when a lady braked heavily at an intersection. Damn the 48 handle just great and I left a nice mark on the road with a cloud of smoke that ran over the bike and me. Arh, burning rubber! Had total control on her, fantastic :)
