i am due for a new front tyre on my Fatbob. Just after suggestions on what to get. NOT impressed with Tyres that are standard on Fatbob.

especially in the wet, i have NO faith in the standard front tyre.

Due for one on my FB as well.

Will be getting a Metzeler ME880 to match the one on I've got on the back, which is also nearly due for replacement.

Never had an issue with the Metz!

Superglide the Fatbob only runs a 180 rear.
i think i will look at fitting Metz.
i have no faith in the standard tyres now after skidin 100+ m down the road.
just lucky the Fatbob is one tough bike, only superficial damage

The stock tires are SHIT. And americans don't go round corners so wot woudl they know! :-)

There are the Pirreli Night dragons etc also. Maybe even teh Battlax but that was designed for the jap cruisers so your looking a 6" rear rim design where as FB's are 5"

    I'm going to run a 200mm.

I got 13000 kms out of the rear before replacing it with a Metz as no Dunlop's were in stock. Still running the original Dunlop out front and now at 17000 kms.

dunlop do make some good tyres ,i use the sport k591 bit narrower then180 but do stick to road .tubeless rims lose air quickly so lot of mishandling is lack of air i did have set of dunlop 407s which slipped on white line in wet so gonna use 501 next

Fitted the two new Metz  and did a 800+km ride last weekend. A couple of hundred on wet roads.

These things still stick like shit! Very happy to keep using them!

Had no slip up front.......and only the rear letting go when powering out of corners a little hard.

The front end feels way "lighter"......easier to flick about.

A vast improvement over the originals in my opinion!

Obviously not going to get anywhere near the mileage outa them compared to the Dunlops.............but that's the price you pay for a stickier tyre!

Also don't miss that "rumble" you get from the original tread pattern.

I've gone through 4 sets of tyres on my fatbob. The Dunlops are dam good tyres for summer and you will get more kms out of them. The Metz I also had, handle better in the wet but you will get less kms out of them. In my opinion I would run the Metz over winter and dunlops all summer long. Personally I gave up on the Metz anyway. My dunlops go over around corners past the pegs, so for those saying they are shit at cornering, this is not my experience and considering I live in the mountains and ride about 50,000kms a year I think my dunlops have done me just fine.
