Smart Security Green disarmed icon

I realise that an open forum probably isnt the best place to be asking questions about security, however, this one shouldnt be an issue?

I've a 2009 StreetBob, and just rebuilt it out to a 103". During the rebuild I removed the battery, in the manner described in the manual.

Before the rebuild the alarm would chirp when the key was turned to Ignition, and the same when turned off. Also, the green disarmed icon would be illuminated permanently whilst the ignition key was on.

Once the build was completed, I put the battery back in. With the ignition turned on, there was no longer a chirp (I've read the owners manual and am not concerned by this as I know I can toggle between modes), Then the green disarmed icon would be illuminated for 4 or seconds and then turn off. After riding for a number of k's the green disarmed icon would turn on, and again after 4 seconds turn off. Over a 30 minute ride, this happened about 6 times. Having re-read the owners manual I now understand that correct operation upon disarming is for the green disarmed icon to extinguish after 4 seconds, but my question is, what would cause the green disarmed icon to turn back on whilst riding??????

    Help please?

Maybe it's lost contact with the fob. change the fob battery and keep the fob in your shirt pocket.    edit   .Start the bike and move the fob away about 5 metres and see if you can simulate the loss of connection.

So, following advice received so far, I replaced the fob battery, and set off on a small ride. All was going well, ie, green light had cancelled out. I didnt notice exactly when it came on again, as I was watching where I was going, but it flicked on for 4 seconds, then off again. It did this a number of times during a 200k run. There seems to be no logical pattern, although It would appear that the light only comes on after a relatively hard bout of acceleration........or thats when I notice it......... I've tried staying below 100ksper hour and all seems OK, as soon as I hit 100, I think the light comes on.......does this sound possible or am I cracking up?????

Have you tried to pull the main fuse to let the whole system re-set? Pull the main fuse for a few minutes and re-install also wait for chirp chirp (if in chirp mode) , then walk up to the bike with the Fob and see what happens. If no change then take out the main fuse and re-install with the Fob in your pocket and see what happens. No harm in trying a few different things connection wise.

I see no connection between 100kph and the light activating-- so you must be cracking up..... :->

Can anyone help with these questions ??
While riding recently my key and fob somehowe came out of my pocket and was gone.I didnt know until I have stopped somewhere and went to restart.I wont go into details about how I go home ect and got my spare fob
Can the alarm be bypassed (I was told you can use your indicators somehow to revert to factory settings to start bike) This doesnt make sense to me as why bother to have a fob !!
How much does a spare fob cost ??
I was also told that you can have your headlamp switch coded somehow to activate your rolla door (again doesnt make sense to me)
Apart from not losing your fob what precuations do others take with this
Any advise on the above would be greatly appreciated
