abs brakes

    okie dokie heres a freakin curly one for ya's .... has anyone taken the abs off there 09 or later bikes and/or is there any other way to bleed the brakes without the stupid freakin digital tech II ,,,,,,the blood rears went off song on saturday as i was leaving work and cant for the life of me find a leak anywhere ...so fill the master up and bleed the system a bit of air but then sweet full flow no air bubbles ,push the brake a few times and i swear i can hear air in the abs manifold ?? any thorts or hint etc realy appriciated :)

    well ill be trucked ! i wasnt listening to myself cos myself was saying take the damn bike up paluma and drive it off the edge ......but at least you took the time to comment :) i just thort these forums were for just such things to be discussed etc and if there were any hints or tips for bleeding abs brakes on these newer bikes it would be a good thing for everyone to know ....as it is our dealer ship here has a lets say tarnished rep and i aint taken my bike to them to fuck it up again !

    you can bleed them like a non ABS bike, as long as air hasnt got into the pump, which it usually doesnt.

    If air has got into the pump you are screwed, you need to talk to a stealer.

    I cant imagine how you could hear air in a hydraulic line, I suspect you are hearing the pistons in the ABS pump moving.

    thanks kingy just what i didnt wanna hear rofl , the noise was like airated fluid passing thru a small hole when you pushed the brake lever and the sound was from the abs manifold ,but since then i have bled the system from front to back including the manifold banjo's and it has gone back to normal go figure , im starting to think the digi tech is a bit of a crok ? does anyone have a diagram or similiar for the abs ! to see how it actualy works internally ? i have a basic idea as to what happens but how it does it on the harleys may be very diff to other makes etc ?

    I have the shop manual and the electrical service manual and neither detail whats in the ABS box.

    buga mate :) thanks for your help tho hey :) so far they have been working and no more air bubble sounds so fingers crossed :)
