I'm not 100% sure of the cost for this one as it opens heaps earlier than normal, 9.30am, for their "fun day" before the actual races.
I am assuming that the fun day is pretty much a "get in as many laps as you can" type scenario which is a real blast.
    I'll email them tomorrow & find out some more details on cost etc;

OK here's the info on the FREE FUN DAY

    Hi Rick

Anyone who rides a brand of bike we sell – ie BMW, Buell, Harley – is welcome to come out and put their bike down the track. This is for street bikes – however some race bikes do come out – need to get the okay from Mark Wacker for those. (sometimes we will run our Destroyers, or some of the other race bikes). There have been times that we have had one of the big bikes (Top Bike) out for a couple of runs – adds to the interest of the day.

Basically, it is a private track hire, for the benefit of our customers (and sometimes, prospective customers). Participation is at your own risk.

    Some basics –

    No cost

Gates open around 9:30am; track time from around 10:00am to 2:30pm

No limit on how many runs you have

    Canteen open

M&W/Willowbank indemnity forms to be signed (this also gives permission to allow your image to be used for any promo stuff)

Leather (or equivalent) jacket, full fingered gloves, boots,

    Helmet, open or full-faced, meeting one of the standards: AS/NZS 1698-2006 (AS/NZS 1698); SNELL SA2000, SA2005, SFI 331.2A (US); SNELL M2000, M2005, SFI 41.2A (US); BS 6658-1985

No backpatch when on the track

Hold, or have held, full civil driver’s licence, or hold provisional licence (learners not permitted)

25kph is the speed on all roads other than the dragstrip

Other safety guidelines apply – eg if you are running a bike that would qualify for an Unlimited Drag Licence, then the associated requirements should be met – eg full leathers, approved full-face helmet

So, hopefully, this will answer some of the questions that come your way. Just yell if there are any more.

This is quite separate, of course, to anyone who is involved in our regular Harley Drags Series, that runs later with the Test N Tune (payment required, as usual).

Nah, still got the Fatcat on.
The Harley has to wait a bit at the moment, the race bike is turning into a bottomless money pit but it's gunna be well worth it.

I had an absolute ball & Michelle got plenty of pic's & they'll come later.
No entertainment Trev but a bloody nice aray of bikes. There were heaps out there, too many to count.
I ended up getting 16 passes in & that was with plenty of rest breaks for the clutch.
Ran a best of 12.64 sec. @ 102.84mph & it ran pretty much consistant 12.7's all day, not bad for a stock 88".

It was seriously the best fun we've had at the strip in a loooooong time.
Deadwood made it out with a couple of mates but they didn't run on the strip & i didn't see anyone else from here.

Me & my great mate Micky G. Top racer & former Winter Nationals winner & Modified Bike track champion.

Me & Micky G on the start line. The ONLY chance i had of beating him was to cheet & it still didn't work.

Just some of the croud, like i said there were heaps there.
