im planning a ridged chop on my sporty. Can anyone out there give me a step by step on how to remove an efi system off my 08 883 and replace with a carby. What parts would i need, ive heard i may need to change the cam shaft and other bits.

I don't think you need to change cams, you would need the ignition from a carbied evo, don't need o2 sensers, fuel pump,1/2 the wiring loom or ecu ect.It would proberly lose performance & not run as smoothly.Personally i would build it with the injection for realiability, economy & performance.I have seen hot rods run gutted carbies as throttle bodies & nobody notices there injected, looks old school

yea me thinks it should be pretty straight forward just need to chase up an engineer up this way to get a compliance plate. found a nice premade weld on hardtail from bitterend choppers that should be pretty easy to fit
