Couple of my mates have had their rear wheel bearings die lately.

One 08 FXDC the other a 08 Fat Boy both have around 40K.

Has any one else had this problem, I reckon you should get more ks than this out of bearings.

Not being a mechenic I am wondering if it might have to do with belt tension or cheap shit bearings ?

My 08 FXDC has 44K and I dont want to get stuck on the side of the road with fucked wheel bearings.

Just had the back wheel off for new tyre, bearings seemed OK

New avon tyre, ready to go away for weekend , 100 mts from home after fueling up, snap drive belt .

How long do you lot reckon a 08 superglide custom should get out of a belt.

    What did yous get ?

I just replaced my front wheel bearings in my 2008 Fatboy. Just thought I would mention I replaced them with the NSK 6205VVCM variety. Much cheaper than your Stock HD Bearing and exactly the same characteristics. Yet just another way Harley Fuck you in the ass.

Just replaced the rear tyre on my bike it is a 2001 Super Glide with just over 44000ks the wheel bearing was good but dry no sign of any grease, now I have only owned this bike just on a year now but I am sure that at sometime before I bought this bike that the bearing should have been checked at least once at a one major sevice or don't they include that if not why do we pay such big money to have our bikes seviced.
