i`m thinking of getting a lowering kit for the rear of the wifes 08 sporty , i seached the forum and couldnt find a lot on them . has anyone had  much to do with these , not sure if its the best way to go ,  or spend the extra bucks and go new shocks , would be nice to find out the good and bad points ,

Are you talking of lowering blocks? I had some on my Dyna and the only thing it altered was the ride height by 50mm. Didn't have any handling issues but when you start lowering a bike further that you will prolly need a shorter kick stand and may have scraping issues resulting from poorer handling. Mine now sits 2.5inches lower (Burly Brand shocks) and i can't lay it over too far and I have to put old shocks back on when 2 up.

Im about to put 10.5 rear shock on my sporty soon. Will let ya know.
