    Hi Greg,

you mention the XiEDs in a few threads. I have looked into them and have only found literature that states they only work in the closed loop state. Can you please advise what you do to take care of the Open loop operation of the engine, given this is where the performance running occurs? Maybe I missed something in the literature somewhere?

    Cheers

    Hi Greg,

thanks for your response. not sure it was me back then that you were corresponding with, but then again, brain cells fade fast.

Our specific experience in the open loop ( and tested with Wide band 02 sensors) is that there is scope for improved performance over the stock ECM with the intake and exhaust opened up. The WOT needs more fuel and the accel can do with a bit more also. The question is how much and what is being done to the engine by not adding it, trmp? lean?etc....Just some Fuel for thought.....

As you say, more than one way to skin a cat......

    Cheers

    Hi Greg,

I read your post above here and several other threads on the forum ( you like cut and paste huh? :))

Unfortunately, it doesnt actually answer my question, as it confirms it only works in closed loop.. It does not address open loop. From memory, ( and by all means those with the infor at hand please correct me), the closed loop is not constrained by under 4000rpm and <50% throttle. It is more like 10-15% throttle, which is generally cruise type conditions. Scotty, do you have the actuals at hand?

    good discussion...

    Cheers
