I had Frasers change my oil from standard HD oil to synthetic the other day as the gear changes up and down were really annoying me.

 

HELL YEAH way better for me feels a lot tighter on the changes still has the Harley clunk but I was expecting that. Seems to run a little hotter but no biggy.

I take it thats syn 3 you changed to ?? Strange as my bike ran hotter with that oil too.So now I use Mobil V twin.With the water cooled engine you could run a lighter oil say 10w 40w.

Yes it was syn3.....Hmmm the guys at frasers seem to be pretty fussy on what oil that they like to see in the bike.

And its your pride and joy so if your happy with that stick with it.

 

 Hey i decided to change to a  full synthetic oil too Amsoil 20w50 Fully Synthetic Motorcycle Oil I am 99% sure it runs cooler than the standard mineral oil its a bite $$ but $96 for 3.75L. But who cares 1 or 2 oil changes a year aint no drama.... spose you pay for what you get. the choice is your check out the web lots of reading...
