Hey Guys, any comments / advice on bike cameras? Just riding thru the Snowy Mountains recently I really wanted film just how damn good it was. I know there are a bunch of different mounted cams, and not sure which ones to go for. Also, was wondering how effective a good hand held video cam would be with pillion doing the filming? To shaky? Advice appreciated guys

    Cheers

I took this a few weeks back with the Go Pro, it is behind the Softail screen, otherwise the picture is high definition.

+3 with the GoPro, the case prevents wind noise so allyou hear is your bike engine.  Options for standard def, high def & time lapse.

Don't forget to try out your regular pocket digital camera set on VIDEO. You will be surprised how good the result is if it's say a 6Meg or above. My Canon Ixus 100IS has very good quality for such a small camera even in very low light conditions.

Meh, I'm starting to look at the new Contour (ContourGPS) and the Drift HD170 Stealth - both are a little more expensive and have good and bad points.

Get the Go Pro as you can set it to take stills etc as well, catch some shots on the go you can also get a camera mount to attach it to a tripod or something like that Contour has worse sound I believe, battery life on the Go Pro is awesome,
