Just an update guys, i got the Cruise-Mate last week and fitted it up, i got the drill and tap with it also, nothing like using a new drill and tap! so it takes around 20 minutes to fit, and also come's with a jig so you drill and tap the hole straight, its an easy thing to fit up if you have some mechanical skills. The test - ride to bright, well i have to say that the Cruise-Mate shits on the Dr cruize in every single way, Without it i would not have been able to do the 850km ride....thanks RedNek for referring me.
    Regards Andrew

Excuse my ignorance but what's the difference between Cruise-Mate and DR Cruise?

The difference being that Dr cruise is just a piece of plastic that clips on, The Cruise-Mate is a complete replacement that requires drilling and taping and fitting a steel insert that has a coarse threat which allows you to "lock" the throttle with only a little movement of the leaver, i also find the leaver easier to operate than the Dr Cruise.

Took three months but a 1 minute fit and works great he also sent an extra one so a mate already scored it.

G'day fellas, I've been through this thread and I ordered my dr cruize on the 10th for a 6000k ride starting on the 29th sep 14 till 12 oct. Now I doubt they will get it too me on time as I only looked at the whole thread after I had ordered and tried contacting them. It's anyone from Sydney willing to let me borrow it for the ride and ill buy you a beer at the pub. I'm sure this will be a life saver riding to Uluru and back and I'm trying to figure it a way to get one.

    Cheers Ryno
