If anyone has a spare - I am keen. But don't want to order from the US if they dick people around. :(

The Kury one looks the goods, but don't want to drill the housing if I can avoid it.

since the supplier seems flaky, has anyone taken one to a plastic molding place, to see if we could get a batch made here?

I had an issue of my parts not arriving, I contacted Dr Cruze and told them (see earlier comments).

Anyway, Dr Cruze came good for me and not only delivered the parts I ordered, but sent me a few spares and a t-shirt. They have gone out of their way to fix something (lost in transit) that wasn't there fault. Shows their dedication to their customers.

    Very Happy, Kevin

Seems to be their usually excuse blaming it on post. We only got a freebie throttle lock, not a tshirt so it sounds like you did okay out if the deal.

Anybody got a spare they are willing to sell, im really interested in trying one as i suffer from bursitis in my right shoulder and it make my fingers go numb within 20-30 mins of riding, just being able to drop my arm for a few seconds without slowing down would help out heaps.

    Regards Andrew

    Hey Jungle

I have used P P for years and bought my bike with it as it gives you a way of tracking you money and product. The seller must be registered as well.

I've got the Cruise-Mate fitted and works like a dream - only about 1/8th of a turn to engage/disengage with a flick of the thumb due to a coarser thread. A spring loaded ratchet adjustment system to set (pull down and rotate a notch and let go type of thing) I had a look at the little platic thingy and thought that it might get knocked off at some stage without knowing if wearing gloves - given that it just slips/clips on the the star wheel.

Wasn't really fazed about drilling and tapping - done that sort of thing on my rides for about 40 odd years. They supply a drill/tap guide with the kit plus a drill & tap for an extra $10.They can also supply a threaded bush to return to the old star wheel system if so desired.

My review - works good for me, bare knuckles and gloves - its not in the way when not in use or even when in use - can be reached easily with your thumb (providing you have one on that hand) and with a small flick (less than 30deg) forwards/backwards turns on/off - for the addition expense, well its metal and it stay put and can't get lost in my pocket, its shiny and they state:

    OUR GUARANTEE TO YOU;
If you purchase Cruise-Mate from our website, then install it and don't like it, we'll buy it back and give you $20.00 for your trouble.
    IT'S THAT GOOD!

Can't ask much more than that!!

REALHOG.com (Aussie based) has them for $42.23 + post - chrome or black but you will need to buy a drill bit and tap (not supplied). I got mine from the US and for an extra $10 they supply the drill bit and tap - I had it in about 10 days. The kit comes with drill & tap jig - you supply some blue loctite and patience. Its not hard to do - The fitting instructions and here http://www.cruise-mate.com/Installation_Harley.htm

You can buy the drill and tap from most engineering parts store! (21/64ths drill & 3/8 24tpi tap - I think its an intermediate tap (3 types of taps - taper, intermediate and plug) - get the intermediate, its ok for soft metals!

    Hope this helps

Realned, thanks for the reply, fitting is not an issue at all. But my only concern is they ship via boat people (1-4weeks) they say Australia but it's america, $20 shipping or $104 for express 1-4 days, just didn't sound right to me.

Yep - it appears they are a 'front - middle man' for the US company - Fuck em I say!!!

If your not in a real big hurry - order from Cruise-mate direct - if I remember, it only cost me $5 for postage and took 10 working days - Standard International mail - and you get the 'return and get $20 back' satisfaction deal!

I ordered mine on 10th August and got it on the 24th August - 10 working days - not bad for std international mail and only $5.00.

Give them a go!! Probably cost you about AUD$60.00 all up if you order the drill and tap also!

    Regards
