DR Cruise Throttle Lock

    Well I got me rear guard on this arvo and took it for a spin with the Dr Cruise trottle lock and it works exactly as it shows in the video. Would be slightly better if it was lower so as to avoid the throttle cables but works none the less. Haven't tested on freeway's yet, will do that tomorrow.

    Rocky, Ive been anxious to send this reply as I have been waiting for my Dr Cruise to arrive. Well it took just two weeks from order to no cost delivery. I ordered one for the Fat bob which fitted perfectly in about 20 seconds and appears to work that way also. The second one for the Wideglide is still in the envelope. The reason they dont have to charge freight is because the units are so small that you could fit more than a dozen in an airmail envelope. A neat and clever piece of engineering which uses existing throttle friction to great benefit. pete.

    During road test I had to adjust it up one notch, but that only took seconds to do then worked fine. pete.

    Good to see it arrived Dicko.

    Gave it a bit of a run Saturday. Throttle was slipping a bit so took it off, moved the notch around one then re-fitted it and perfect. Spot on for warming the bike up as well.

    Yeah, finally got around to putting mine on (and now finally got around to admitting it here!) Seems to work OK, but notice that sometimes I 'accidentally' operate it with my thumb. Maybe my hands are too bloody big?!

    My son had same problem with thumb, so I removed the Dr cruise and shortened it by 1/2. This did not make it worse for normal operation  pete.

    Just wondering if anyone else never received their purchased items from Dr Cruise.

    I paid for 2 of them about 3 months ago and even sent them an email about 4 weeks ago saying I never got them and I have never heard a thing from them since the day they took my money.

    Anyone else, never got there's.

    Thanks guys,

    I have sent an email to their sales department today and will give that a day or two and then maybe ring as Gnoo suggested (thanks for the number). Also sent them a copy of my paypal receipt showing all details, date, amount etc.

    The bastards are not even acknowledging my messages via their site or my emails. Even left a message on there answering machine and they still haven't contacted me.

    Maybe I was just an unlucky one, but you have been warned.

    Hi steamer,

    I sent them another message via their site last night and I was surprised this morning to see a reply. They have stated that they had postal problems over their and delivers weren't made and or were stolen. They have asked for my address details again and said they will check up.

    I step closer.

    this looks like something i should get! you guys having issues with supplier?? or just a one off? lol i just read the disclaimer - Disclaimer: Dr.Cruise Extension Paddle is NOT a throttle LOCK or CRUISE CONTROL

    Anybody got one they want to sell off???

    Just received another email, they are sending me the two I paid for express post 

     Still blaming it on the Canadian mail system.

    Now they wont even respond to me contacting them via their site.

    Be cautious if thinking about buying.

    UPDATE 08/09/11: Dr Cruze have contacted me and stated they are very sorry and they are changing mailing process and have sent again.  I will update here again when they arrive.

     

    NEW UPDATE 29/09/11:  Dr Cruze came good for me and not only delivered the parts I ordered, but sent me spares and a t-shirt.  They have gone out of their way to fix something (lost in transit) that wasn't there fault.  Shows their dedication to their customers.
