I just picked up a new Dual X helmet. I was looking for an open face helmet that I could also put a full face visor on. I was considering the regular open face style with clip on visor, but then I found this site thanks to someone here on the forum (can't remember who or which thread it was in sorry)

They list APL Performance Bikes as a stockist, so I was expecting a store, but it ended up being a workshop basically. Adam and his wfe run the place, top bloke. Check em out if your in western Sydney, they do servicing and builds etc. Anyway back to the helmet...

Thats the lid (check the site for the other pics). I ordered mine with the dark visor pictured, so I got the clear and tinted. It also comes with a veranda to stick on the front and use it like a normal open face. The only downside to that little extra veranda bit is that it has to be attached with screws and involves the use of a tool, so another thing to carry around with you. But thats a very minor thing in an other wise great helmet. I paid $140 from APL with the extra tinted visor, so I think its a pretty good value helmet too. It has removable lining too, which is nice. The lining is more like padding, and maybe this is where the "Up Yours" in Up Your Imports comes into it. If you remove that bit of lining, the helmet oviously sits a bit lower on your head, I didn't ride like this yet, but I'll updates this post when I give it a go. The AU standards sticker is attached to that padding though..but the sticker is still on the back, so who cares right?

Long sotry short, awesome helmet. Highly reccommend it!
